Deep, gentle warmth Supports soft-tissue healing Schedule Appointment

What It Is

Sound waves. Real, gentle warmth.

Sore tendons and deep muscle tightness sometimes need more warmth than a hot pack can reach. The inflammation and tension can sit below where surface heat ever gets to.

Therapeutic ultrasound uses a handheld wand and gel to send sound waves into the tissue. Those waves create gentle vibration and heat at a depth surface heat can’t reach. That extra warmth increases blood flow to the area, which can ease pain and support the tissue’s own healing.

Ultrasound is never the whole visit. It’s a few minutes at the start of your visit, alongside hands-on treatment and exercise. Together, they give sore tissue a head start on healing.

Questions, Answered

Ultrasound, no mystery.

No. Most people feel a gentle, steady warmth as the wand moves across the area, nothing sharp or uncomfortable. Your therapist checks in with you the whole time.

It’s used as one part of your plan to ease pain, calm inflammation, and support healing in sore muscles and tendons. It’s never a stand-alone fix. We pair it with hands-on treatment and exercise aimed at the actual cause of your pain.

Ultrasound is typically included as part of a covered physical therapy visit, not billed as a separate service. We verify your specific benefits before your first session, so there’s no surprise on your bill. Questions before then? Call Cherry Hill at 856-424-0993 or Burlington at 609-880-0880.
