OVERVIEW

Fractures/Dislocation Elbow

A fall onto the arm outstretched or direct trauma to the elbow can cause an elbow fracture. There may also be nerve or blood vessel injuries associated with elbow dislocations. Although X-rays can show fractures or dislocations, small breaks might be hard to see.

Fractures should be treated immediately. To ensure proper joint function, bone breaks must be treated with special care.
