Coronavirus Awareness and Action Plan

Although coronavirus has not affected Specialized Physical Therapy directly, we want to reassure you that we have measures in place to protect our patients and staff.

According to the CDC (Center for Disease Control and Prevention), the virus is spread, similarly to other illnesses like the common cold and flu, through coughing and sneezing by those who already have it. We are reminding patients and staff who feel ill to please stay home and follow up with your primary physician. In addition, ask yourself these 3 questions:

1. Do I have or did I have a fever and/or chills, coughing, sneezing, or shortness of breath in the last 24-48 hours?
2. Have I been in contact with anyone who has the coronavirus or have been in an area that is known to have the coronavirus?
3. Have I recently traveled to and from an area that is known to have the coronavirus?

If you answered “YES” to any of these questions, we are asking you to stay home and follow the recommendations of the CDC:

The best way to stop the spread of any germs is to continue practicing good hygiene. This includes sneezing/coughing into your elbow and making sure to wash your hands often with soap and water (or hand sanitizer if soap is not readily available). As always, our bathrooms are fully stocked with soap, and we also have several hand sanitizers throughout the office.

The cleanliness of our office, and health of our patients has always been a main priority. Patient tables, chairs, and all gym equipment are thoroughly wiped down by our aides after each use, as well as bathrooms, door handles, light switches, etc, will continue to be cleaned several times a day. Our therapists wash their hands (or use hand sanitizer) in between each patient encounter and we ask every patient to do the same upon arriving and leaving our office.

If we all continue to follow these guidelines, we can help to keep each other, as well as our community healthy! We will continue to use CDC as a guide and update as needed. As always, we thank you for choosing Specialized Physical Therapy.

TESTIMONIALS
Before: I had a stress fracture in my L2 vertebrae with immense pain. I couldn’t perform in gymnastics like I used too. Now: I have no pain whatsoever and perform how I like. Backwalkovers with no pain! I never thought I’d have no pain again.
- M. DiBona
I am so grateful to you and your staff for the significant improvement I experienced under your supervision. When I first came to you, I was suffering extreme pain in both my shoulders and my hips, and now I can honestly say that I have regained a great deal of strength and flexibility in those areas. I owe it all to your professionalism, guidance, and expertise. Thank you so much for all your kindness.
- Fran R.
I want to thank Paul Vidal for helping me control my vertigo! Because of your treatment I have been able to continue running and was thrilled to be able to run the Broad St. race with my daughter! I can’t thank you enough.
- G. Thompson
Paul is great. He takes good care of our patients. The patients love him! I have sent several family members to him.
